EuroShop 2023 will take place from 26 February to 2 March 2023. To get you ready, we’ve prepared a list of exciting stores from the fashion, lifestyle and food segments. Come with us on a journey to the retail hotspots of Düsseldorf and Cologne.
Düsseldorf is a city famous for its trade fairs and fashion. With a regionally high purchasing power, the city is home to around 640,000 people and a major shopping destination for a further 2.7 million potential customers living in the surrounding areas. At the heart of the city centre is Königsallee, Germany’s most-frequented luxury mile. The ‘Kö-Bogen’, built by star architect Daniel Libeskind, extends the northern end of the shopping street and links up with Schadowstrasse, which has been a predominantly pedestrian zone since 2020. Close by is the KII, a two-part, architecturally innovative building ensemble completed in 2021. It features Europe’s largest green façade, made up of an eight-kilometre long hornbeam hedge and over 30,000 plants.

With a population of over one million, Cologne is Germany’s fourth-largest city and, thanks to its location in the west of the country, also a key destination for shopping tourists from the neighbouring Benelux states. The main shopping streets in Cologne’s city centre – Schildergasse and Hohe Strasse – merge with each other and can be fully explored by making a loop starting at the cathedral. The adjoining Ehrenstrasse, formerly something of an alternative fashion street, is another of the city’s top locations.
