Storeguide: Dusseldorf – Fashion

The words Dusseldorf and fashion are often used in one sentence: almost every label that has a reputation on the international scene has a brand flagship store on Königsallee. But even beyond the famous luxury shopping mile, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia has a wide range of shops worth seeing when it comes to fashion.

Afew

Oststr. 36, 40211 Düsseldorf

The Afew sneaker store underwent a comprehensive makeover to double its sales area. Located in Düsseldorf’s Japanese quarter, the store features over 600 brands displayed across 130 sqm. The new ‘transformable’ store concept is based on magnetic elements that allow shelves and walls to move so that the sales floor can be transformed overnight into an event space. A special feature is the fluorescent floor that glows neon green in the dark.

Akris

Königsallee 27-31, 40212 Düsseldorf

Akris is Switzerland’s answer to the luxury fashion houses of France and Italy. Its flagship store is located in the shopping gallery of Girardet Haus between Königsallee and Trinkausstrasse. Founded in 1922, Akris is still a family-owned business, now in its third generation. The brand designs exclusive women’s fashion, the sleek, understated nature of which is also reflected in the store’s design.

Another Cotton Lab

Bastionstraße 10, 40213 Düsseldorf

The Düsseldorf-based label Another Cotton Lab has opened its first flagship store on Bastionstraße, marking its move from a digital brand to physical retail. Designed by Schwitzke, the approximately 120 sqm space combines streetwear with a deliberately reduced, residential-style interior featuring wood, marble, concrete and leather. Conceived as a community hub for formats such as the “Sunday Running Club”, the boutique-style store is located away from the city’s main shopping streets.

Apropos

Benrather Straße 15, 40213 Düsseldorf

The Apropos concept store specialises in designer fashion. Some 40 metres of store windows showcase accessories, jewellery and cosmetics. Decorated in light shades of gold and grey, the store is designed to give customers the feeling of stepping into a private luxury apartment. The interior concept for the store came from the studio of renowned Italian designer Vincenzo De Cotiis.

United Colors of Benetton

Königsallee 82-84, 40212 Düsseldorf

The store concept aims to overcome the boundaries between the online and offline world. Customers are welcomed by an LED wall with interactive projections. The Italian-style interior features terrazzo floors and coffered ceilings.

Bershka

Schadowstraße 52 (Kö-Bogen II), 40212 Düsseldorf

Opened in autumn 2025, the Bershka store introduces a technology-focused fashion concept to Düsseldorf’s city center. Spanning around 1,200 square meters across two floors, the layout is clearly structured, with womenswear on the ground floor and the MAN and BSK collections below. Digital features define the shopping experience, including large LED walls, additional screens integrated into the architecture, and numerous RFID-enabled self-checkout stations. Pay-and-go services, click & collect, and a prominently staged sound system with visible speaker installations further enhance the immersive store atmosphere.

Boggi Milano

Königsallee 66, 40212 Düsseldorf

This is the largest German store of the Italian men’s fashion brand Boggi Milano, which is currently pursuing an expansion strategy. The concept store offers omnichannel services like click & collect in a marble-dominated setting with a coffee lounge and a separate area for made-tomeasure clothing.

Breuninger

Kö-Bogen, Königsallee 2, 40212 Düsseldorf

The fashion company occupies 15,000 sqm in the Kö-Bogen, where it presents items from the world of fashion, beauty, shoes and accessories. A mix of international brands and one of the largest women’s shoe departments in North Rhine-Westphalia surround the Sansibar by Breuninger restaurant on the first floor. An in-house personal shopping service is available to customers who wish to shop in private. Internet access and digital kiosks with customer advice round off the service.

Guess

Neustraße 42, 40213 Düsseldorf

The Guess flagship store, opened in 2025 in Düsseldorf’s old town, showcases the brand across two retail floors spanning around 234 sqm. The interior design features a refined mix of glossy mahogany panels, black safety glass, satin-finished brass and cement, complemented by light-coloured gres flooring. Large LCD walls displaying current campaigns, a semi-spiral staircase and an intuitive store layout create an international boutique atmosphere with a strong focus on fashion and lifestyle.

Levi’s

Schadowstraße 55, 40212 Düsseldorf

Illuminated displays, spotlights and video screens highlight the cult brand in a contrasting natural wood interior. The 300-sqm sales floor with an American atmosphere features a tailor shop, cash desk, alteration studio and textile printer. Shoppers will also find sitting areas, illuminated fitting rooms and USB charging stations.

Mango

KII, Schadowstraße 48, 40212 Düsseldorf

Mango’s flagship store is housed in the architecturally innovative KII. Spread over 1,800 sqm and three levels, the functional store design is a world first for the Spanish fashion chain, which aims to promote customer interaction with the introduction of services, such as a concierge station. Customers can also try on items from exclusive online collections, which are displayed in-store.

Peek & Cloppenburg

Berliner Allee 1, 40212 Düsseldorf

The curved glass front of Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf’s Weltstadthaus, designed by New York architect Richard Meier, resembles a giant store window. The fashion company displays more than 400 labels and over 40 brand shops on six floors covering 16,000 sqm.

PME Legend

Flinger Str. 37, 40213 Düsseldorf

The Düsseldorf outlet of the Dutch men’s fashion brand PME Legend is the company’s second in Germany, following the store in Oberhausen. The collections, inspired by the outfits of American cargo pilots, are displayed along with backlit images of cargo airplanes on a retail space of about 350 sqm.

Tommy Hilfiger

Schadowstraße 14, 40212 Düsseldorf

Tommy Hilfiger can be found in a modern and friendly 320-sqm store. A range of digital touchpoints connect the brick-and-mortar store with the fashion retailer’s online shop, which customers can access via large touchscreens. To help customers choose the right fit, videos show what trousers look like while being worn. A shop-the-look application offers curated outfits that users can place in their digital shopping cart using a touchscreen.

TK Maxx

KII, Schadowstraße 32-54, 40212 Düsseldorf

The off-price retailer’s 3,500-sqm, three-level store sits behind a huge glass façade in the KII. It offers a wide range of brand-name fashion and shoes, designer handbags, cosmetics, and homewares. In 2020, TK Maxx was the first retailer to open its doors in the new Kö-Bogen II.
